Noodler, from my research it looks like 250K pots are used with single coils and 500K pots are used with humbuckers. People were saying that the lower impedance muddies up the HB's tone. If you didn't change out the volume pot, you might not be getting everything out of that SD that you can.
Just relaying what I found deciding which to buy for myself.
