Lyricist Needed

Finally had a song hit me that I had to get recorded real quick- here's the rough of it.
I'd like to do something real smooth, maybe with a swinging Frank Sinatra groove to it. Depending on the lyrics (if there are any takers), I might take the tempo down when re-recording.
Hope there's enough to get a good sense of structure. Might need to come up with a bridge.

All hats in the ring!

Chris, good work on that tune. This baby needs one of those mellow jazz singers.

My thoughts, exactly. I can pull off the vocals. Just need some words....

Chris,
Nice tune, real bright bouncy feel.
Kind of like...

Walking on air
Smile at everyone I meet
Got the world by the tail
Life is sweet.

Something like that...

ideasong - X4 thought.mp3

I'd like to spend sometime with you
dancing on the shore
squeeze you in my arms so tight
and love you even more

Holding you makes life complete
your the one for me
time on earth is way too short
I need eternity

To give you the love that you deserve
your the one my heart wants to serve
I love you so
want you to know

PS: really nice tune Chris...

Thanks for the kind comments on the song- that was an EXTREMELY rough cut- didn't even set up mics for it and timing was off here and there.
I like the lyrics from both knight and xstring- they sort of go together, with knight's being an excellent base to build the chorus from and xstring's being good verses. Think it might be enough to work from and put together a rough verse to get cadence set to work from.

Nice sounding music Chris, look forward to hearing how this progresses.
I was wondering/trying to work out the progression,(without much luck)
would love to know?

Sure- here's the chords:
The whole song is played with alternating maj7 and min7 chords.

Verse:
Amaj7 Amin7
Chorus:
Dmaj7 Dbmin7 Cmaj7 Bmin7

Pretty simple, but you can really keep it interesting with different picking patterns, etc.

I've done some rough vocals with the lyrics so generously supplied. A bit of work and I think I'll be able to get round to recording this properly. I'm giving some thought to fitting a bridge in there somewhere.

That's really coming along nicely Chris. Love the chord progression and great vocals too! Good job on the lyrics too (Chris, Knight and Kenny).

P.S. I can see this going to the GFB&B Radio for sure!
