Guitar supports vs. foot stools
I really enjoyed the positioning my footstool gave me, but after playing seriously for a few months, I noticed pain in my lower back and hips was getting aggravated.
A friend suggested I try guitar supports...little wedges that go on top of your thigh to hold to guitar upright. I got one and it's awesome! Back pain has gone from unbearable to regular old everyday ache : )
As for where to get good supports, the same friend referred me to bigmo.com/guacst . Seems like this guy has the best deal on the net and he obviously has a one-man operation going out of VT. I get behind small business...he's pretty good. Check it out.
