Tuning and warming up
I have paid very close attention to some very good players as they are tuning their guitar and warming up their fingers. I am amazed at the fact that as they tune their guitars, they are playing some very pretty music to get their guitar in tune. I have no idea what they are doing, but I made mention to one player that he tuned his guitar prettier than I can play a song. I am dying to know what and how they are doing this. Does someone know some of these techniques? About all I know is going across the 5th and 7th frets for comparison of tones in regards to tuning. Can someone elaborate on this?
