  Capo Lane?

I like the sample of Capo Lane. Wondering if I buy the full lesson is there any more to the song other than what is played on the site?

  Capo Lane

Capo Lane was the first of Kirks lessons I encountered, (seems like so long ago). It really amazed me then, that the sound I produced when playing it was so beautiful, (how could I play something so good?). Now I sometimes make up variations of the tune because I like it so much. It would be great if Kirk added more to this one.

Good idea, fingers. I'll write a second part and post it as the next lesson.

Were can we find the original lesson? I'm just starting to work on finger picking and I'm intrigued with this Capo Lane lesson.

What a great lesson this is! I've been using it every day as part of my practicing. It's not really hard, but to get it smooth and flowing is what I try for. I'm also trying for a better tone, and vibrato, so the notes ringing on is perfect for that too. And now part 2 as well. Thanks. Oh yes, did I mention its a great tune???

I'm also the author of PlaneTalk - The Truly Totally Different Guitar Instruction Book. The lesson that this book, slide-rule and DVD teach is the most powerful of all: the 'trick' to seeing the entire fretboard as friendly, familiar territory. If you're beyond the beginner stage -- you know your chords, scales, maybe even modes -- but you're still wondering how to turn it all into music, how to invent and improvise, how to access all the bits and pieces, then this is the book for you. You will also be able to join the private PlaneTalkers' Forum and discuss the simple visualization technique with me and many others. - Read more here .

Testimonials

Kirk, Just got my PlaneTalk a couple of days ago and practically haven't put it down since, to which my wife will attest. Have been playing as a hobby for several years, learning songs and printing out tabs from the 'net but never really putting it together. I got to that point where I wanted to take it to the next level and your book helped me to understand the "big picture" very clearly and easily. Now its time to play and keep going! Do you really buy a seat for your guitar on the plane?
