reading guitar tabulature

can somebody explain to me how to read guitar tabulature. Is their any video on it ?

reading tabulature

when reading guitar tabulature is there a way to find out what music note it is?

Not unless you know the notes of the fretboard...I.E. if the tab says 6th string, 1st fret, and you already know that this is the F note. At least in my limited knowledge anyway!

Tab just points you in the right direction, like hb said you will have to learn all the notes on the fretboard if you want to know what you are playing, here's a link that will show you Tommy79
