sounds like a good idea to me, i have a beatter that i picked up at a yard sale for 10 bucks, plays good and sounds good, i use it to drag around when i go places, its also good for beattin people if u have to and no great lose,(hahahaha), u will find that a lot of the guys that have been playin for a while will have a beatter for that purpose so that they wont ruin there good guitar
