Mine would probably be Master of Puppets by Metallica.

Hmmm, kinda hard to pick just one... If I really had to, I'd be "Scenes from a Memory" by Dream Theater

Close runnerup should be "Californication" by the Red Hot Chili Peppers. And actually, Petrucci being such an awesome guitarist, I'd be ashamed not to name both Liquid Tension Experiment albums as well. Kinda weird, but never cease to amaze and delight me.

And well... Pink Floyd, Yes, Linkin Park, Van Halen... A lot of what was named already...

That's almost impossible for me to say, but the last cd I bought, "The Very Best of Montrose", is absolutely killer if you're into hard rock.

"Rock The Nation", "Bad Motor Scooter", "Rock Candy", "Space Staion #5", "I Got The Fire", "Let's Go", "Twenty Flight Rock"...Wow!!

btw -- the first 3 songs I listed were all on their debut album. Not bad at all for a first effort. It's also Sammy Hagar's first band.

  Fav album

First of all, to hear something called an "album" is refreshing. My kids and their friends consider the term album restricted to "that old vinyl stuff"!! I have to remind them that an album is a collection of things, whether it be photographs, poems, short stories or music.

Ah...but I digress!

A few of my Favs: (not in any particular order)

Todd Rundgren - Something, Anything
Peter Frampton - Frampton's Camel and Come Alive
Chicago - Live
Brian Setzer Orchestra - Dirty Boogie

There is also some Clapton stuff, recently got a Duke Robillard CD that features him doing stuff & styles of things that influenced his playing. Allman Brothers, old or newer version.

Hey, gotta go, work calls!

  And Twice on Sundays...

"Dogman" by King's X.

Led to an interesting (well, perhaps not) discussion with a friend of mine on "The best run of 6 songs ever put on vinyl/cd/wax cylinder/etc." We ended up with the six songs on Physical Graffiti that starts with "Custard Pie."

The first six songs on "Dogman" would have won out, except for "Flies and Blue Skies" stuck in there.

Most underrated songs ever: "The Rover" by Zeppelin, which is criminally undersaturated in our collective ears, and "Pretend" or "We Were Born to be Loved" by King's X.

Most overrated? Well, we've all got our opinions about that. Mine might get me killed, so I'll keep it to myself for now. After all, this is the sort of thing that can kill a political career.

-Gary.
