I have read Plane Talk 3 times now and just finished watching the DVD for the first time. I think I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. It isn't a very bright light yet but with a lot of work I think I may be able to do this. It is becoming very interesting and I am starting to get a wee bit excited. That is saying a lot for an old fart like me.

I would give Kirk a big hug and a kiss but I am here and he is in Australia and it would be just a little weird anyway. My wife wouldn't be thrilled either...............

Thanks Kirk for a great book. It is going to take a lot more reading and watching the DVD and tons of practice but it is beginning to make sense. Practicing is a lot more fun now.

Great, gasbag. Yes, lots and lots of playing (I hate the word practice) is the only way to get there, but you'll find that practicing this will get you there much faster and (best of all) you'll not only know what you're playing, but why you're playing it.

I read it through completely relatively quickly and of course didn't absorb everything the first time. What I did perceive was a very clear & concise explanation to the workings of music on the guitar.

Then I started again. This time I might only make maybe 4 or 6 pages sometimes, and I would usually start back a couple pages to review. I am a little over half way through again, and this time I am absorbing it well. And enjoying it!

I really believe that if I just continue to study Planetalk that I will completely understand how music works on the guitar. (And not just how to play guitar.)

There is nothing else like this out there. I'm completely on board with Kirk's "system" of how to understand music works on the guitar!

I have learned more from Plane Talk than all the other instructional material I have put together!

It doesn't seem possible, however I think that Kirk with his tremendous guitar background, found a way to take much of the mystery out of guitar, and present it in a concise way that is almost starting to sound like common sense!
