Hi my name is Ken, I've never played a guitar before yesterday. I recently quit my job (to become a full time student)... I decided, to follow my childhood dream to become a doctor (oodles of school, but I'll manage)... With my new found conviction I also decided to follow another childhood dream, and that is to learn to play the electric guitar. So here I am, green as can be. Since school occupies the majority of my time, and all my funds go towards it, I don't think it's fiscally wise for me to invest in lessons. With this said, I've decided to teach myself, using, books, interactive media, and pretty much anything I can get my hands on (I'm a pretty good study)... Some may think this as foolish... but Jimi Hendrix trained himself... and he's a god (not trying to compare myself to Jimi... just trying to make a point)... I wonder if anyone who is even remotely good with the guitar (was self trained themselves), if you are reading this, what methods did you apply to the maddness?
