Thanks for the feedback, mjwjr ... Isn't it a nice feeling to get those fingers obeying and remembering? It happens forever, so long as you always make sure you're looking for something new to play, whether lessons like these or plain old random exploration of the fretboard. Once you get an idea of how music works and how it lays itself out on the fretboard, these explorations get more and more interesting and fun, of course, because you can keep track of it all and really hear the context of it all. That's why I always include the Roman Numeral chord progressions, in the hope that you'll let those related chords sink in ... as numbers, as sounds, as roles in the scheme of things. It's really just seven numbers/sounds/roles to remember, since they apply to all 12 keys, so it's well worth the effort to learn.
The Roman numerals are also the language of professional musicans, studio musicians, producers, singers etc., so there's another good reason to learn it ... simple communication.
