My babies...

Hi All,

Theese are my weapons of choice; Hofner Committee (1964!); modded Squier Strat; and Yamaha fretless bass.

They keep me out of trouble! The fretless is a new addition (as is a mandolin) - still learning!!!

It never ends...

Nice collection. That Hofner is a beauty!

The Hofner is nice. I was very lucky when I bought her - I got her off a bass playing chum about eighteen years ago, who had her as an unused novelty spare, for a ridiculously low price! A bit microphonic at high volume, and thus very prone to feedback, but who plays high-volume jazz these days!!! Nice, at my age, to have a guitar that you can sit down to play...

The Squier is my "workhorse" guitar. I don't play live any more, but if I did, that's the one that would go out on the road with me.

All the best,

Nick.

I imagine your bass playing chum wishes he had that guitar back now!

I recently added a mandolin to my collection also. Fun little things, aren't they?

Sadly he succumbed to the plague of heroin some years ago. It's rife here.

Yes, I enjoy the mandolin - feels a bit fiddly after thudding around on a bass, though!!!
