Song on the Wind
Ok, a bit of a test here, but I wanted to offer it to the community, as a chance to help me grow. Some background:
Was on the Audio chat with Windsong tonight and he said he only knew a few chords, so I was toying around with a D,C,G progression (don't let him fool ya, he can blaze on that Tele! ).
So later I was chatting with EddieZ, and we were discussion the noise coming from the monitor into the guitar... and wondering if it gets caught in the recording. So I needed something I could record and post here.
Also, since we're posting... there seems to be some sort of limit on the audacity for the click track... so short songs are all I can write until ya'll help me extend the click tracks.
So with three birds to kill, allow me to toss a song on the wind.
Feel free to expand upon it as it is now community property.
Remember, wherever you go... there you are.

Yeah, now that was quite nice... Good job!
Well, except where I ran off there at the end of course.
Ok, we have a good Verse or main riff... now some lyrics would help indicate where & how long a chorus or bridge part would intersect. Then we can lay out a basic song structure.
Remember, wherever you go... there you are.

Hey every one lets put some lyrics to this one. Starsailor started out with some fine lyrics so lets all chip in. The idea of ft. lauderdale at midnight, the Harley and the wind and of course dont forget the misses on the back is a making of a hit for this website.

Hi Kenny (X4StringDrive) I sent a verse to windsong, so it's a very small start, Windsong has made some changes and I think he's working on it now but here's the original verse changes have been made though as I said but this might give you a feel for it, this verse isn't set in stone it depends what everyone thinks as the tune you, Dewy and windsong have been working on needs a great lyric so I don't mind anything being changed , this will be a cool song
I'm going cruising in Fort Lauderdale
Just got my pay check, arrived in the mail
Tuned up my Harley, and I'm good to go
I need some freetime to lift the gloom
I'm Gonna head down to a bar I know
Hang out with my band at the Elbo Room
Cheers
Chris

Do you and Windsong have a message in mind... examples...
freedom's like the open road
something earned not bought or sold...
or more of a just feel good tune...
Midnight sets my soul on fire
Bike and Babe is all I desire...

Hey X4... post us a 2 to three minute backing track of the rhythm section. That will give us something to jam along to and test melodies of lyrics & chorus over.

Here the first verse that Windsong and I started and a couple more potential verses depending on what you guys thinks, just mess around with them, I'm just throwing lyrics out there we should have plenty for a song, still working on a chorus so need some help there.
G D7
Just got my pay check, arrived in the mail
G C
D7 G
Head'n down to a bar I know
G C
She's on my bike and truck'n with me
G D7
Head'n toward the Elbo Room I see
G C
The drinks are there and all lined up
G D7 G
For my band, my sweetheart and me
We kick our heels back Check out the scene
Later on we take to the stage
We have a great time play it fast and loose
And all the girls are kicking off their shoes
I see my lady dancing without a care
She's such a beauty with her long blonde hair
That summer dress it lights up my eyes
The other guys know that she's out of reach
Cheers

The feel is something with, Fort Lauderdale, midnight, ocean breeze, bike'n, jam time with the band and the misses.
Maybe somewhat related to the feel of the Elbo Room in the early 70's
