It was 10 minutes, but I've recently changed it to 30 minutes to give members a little more time to edit their posts. The time limit on editing is in place on most forums, not just this one, for the reason outlined by Kirk above.
By the way, welcome to the forum Jim, good to have you here... I'm surprised you got Jim as your username too. I just did a search on other members using Jim in their username on here... and I've llisted them below
