Was that you on drums also?
It sounds more like a compressor. Did you use compression (or limiting) on the tracks? It's more noticeable on the drums (especially the kick) than guitar.

The drums where a good friend of mine. I can hold a beat on drums but I'm no drummer. I am improving though.
