SWEET! Thanks for posting that, Kirk! Great stuff, as always.

I love The Star Spangled Banner, it's a great tune.

I've got a Star Spangled Banner version I worked up over several years, beginning in early September 2001 when, as a novice slider, I noticed that the opening notes of the SSB could be found on the open strings in Open D tuning. I'd just come up with a really basic version when the World Trade Center was attacked, and I've always associated it with that since. Came up with a three parter, first verse pretty traditional, interrupted at the end by two "bangs," morphing into a mournful minor key version, ending with a happier, sort of ragtimey boogie version.
