Man of Constant Sorrow

I had a ton of fun with this one.
At the beginning of the song, SlickCat was generous enough to lay in a sweet intro for me. Thanks again!

I did this one almost as a dirge- these are NOT happy lyrics, so I decided to do something really dark-sounding. I think the doubled vocals came out pretty cool-sounding.

Hope you like it.

Are you kiddin' me? That intro was awesome- I was absolutely tickled that I was able to give it a bit of the sound you would get from an old 78rpm record. Thanks again.

Chris and Slick,
You guys did awesome on the tune. I loved the entire take.
Intro gave it that down home feel and the rest sounded like it meant business.
Great job again.

Brilliant, vocals were superb and crystal clear apart from a couple of your refrains which faded back a bit, but you may have done that intentionally. I thought you mixed the whole thing beautifully.
Lyrics were great, dark but earthy.

When all else fails, read the instructions.

Thanks, Jomi! If you're not familiar with this song, it's been around an awful long time- at least 90 years, although it might be older. It's been remade a ton of times (Bob Dylan, Peter Paul and Mary, Rod Stewart, etc.) although the one most people may have heard was the version from the movie O Brother, Where Art Thou?. That version was sort of bright and cheery, but when you read the lyrics, it's a pretty depressing song.
