GFB&B Blues Jam, all welcome

Right come on you lot who is up for a blues jam?

Young, old, Noobies, pro's, acoustic players, even singers! Come on lets fire up our recording software and put a piece together from the community again as its been a long time.

Attached a is a quick blues track I made tonight its in A and its a 116bpm there are 3 cycles of standard 12 bar blues with a small count in for 1 bar. Have a jam over this track for as many of the cycles as you want and send me the recording and I can put them together (unless someone else wants the job....please!).

To be organized lets say you have until next Sunday (12th January at 12:00 GMT) to record your part. Place your name down on here and send your part to krissovo at yahoo(dot)com. If you cannot figure out the cryptic email then PM me.

Singers
It would be great to break up the jams with the odd verse or two of some singing. Even if you write some lyrics for this post them up and I will press gang some other members to have a go.

Noobies
Just starting out on the blues and scales? Then have a go your selves, there is no shame and use this thread to ask for some ideas in getting off the ground.

So come on have a go!

Ok this looks like this is shaping up nicely, still plenty of room for anymore singers or for players alike.

Just a reminder to send me your recorded pieces and I shall mix it together at the weekend.

Thanks!

Do you still need lyrics?

I tried fitting some of the above lyrics into your Blues jam and someone with some phrasing talent should be able to mish-mash something from selected lines from those already here. I personally wouldn't mind if any of my suggestions were mixed and/or matched with any of the others to make it fit.
If you need more here are a couple more suggestions

Melody, rhythm, and muting
Riffs, flat picking and chords
Flying all over the fretboard
Putting our lives into words.

Grabbing the ears of our neighbours
Playing a little off key
Meeting our friends at the crossroads
The Devil made me do it, not me.

Hearing the question and answer
Feeling the ebb and the flow
Following the steps of the master
Learning which way to go.

Listening to Roman Numerals
Tasting the flavour of chords
Feeling the tone and the rhythm
Playing that old One, Five, Four.

Krissovo, What's the status of this project? I see from other posts it sounds like your getting busy and doing some traveling (or getting ready to....Santana in Dubai?!?! COool!)

Anyhow, just wondering what the progress was. Keep us posted.

Hey all

Yes my apologies I have been busy and this did go very well. I have a copy here but there is still room if people want to have a bit of fun and join. I love the end result, I shall post the contributers later but for now just enjoy!

Dang!! That keyboard was TOO BAD!!!!! And the way you had it swirling around..(headphones for full effect!) AWESOME!!!!

This was a great collaboration. I mean, even as it stands. I can't wait to hear it when it's finished!! Good work folks! And good mixing Krissovo!!!! I had to chuckle at the final drum roll! But even that was fitting!

That is amazing - well done everyone. The keyboards made me giddy - fantastic. No vocals, so is there a plan for them or will it be an instrumental? There was some extra-ordinary talent on show with this one
