Our University song

The poem before the song...

Staring at the flickering screen
my eyes begin to numb
I go and grab some more caffeine
what have I now done
an office chair at home so plush
tucked in a corner space
just sitting here when came a rush
brought a smile right to my face
its 1 AM this days been long
its time I go to bed
I'll close this out with a new song
that just popped in my head

Don't worry Chris, it didn't scare me
The cat still lives, not turned to gravy
The boot idea is not a new one
But history tells me, I'd need a stun gun.

That whirl effect was something else
Was that Mixcraft 3? it sent my pulse
All over the place, I think next time
Without earphones, it would be just fine.

Theres this one but don't think the words are any clearer the vocals are ones I did months ago so are a bit hissy, just me and a guitar, a heartbeat, a radio effect and a flanger or something the actual vocal is of a higher standard on this one, hold on a Minute, there's a guy in a white coat at the door and my Wife has a form with Asylum written on the top

Glad the cat's okay Carol
After my insane endeavour
The swirl effect is basic
Not really all that clever
It's someone in a bath
Speeded up in tempo
A 25% pan to left
Then a pan all round
That's what gives the sound
Didn't put this on Members recordings
Don't know if I would
It might empty the forum
Or do you think I should
Hi Kenny thanks for listening
Hope it wasn't wrong
A leftfield interpretation
Of another classic song
My mind it is quite spatial
But sanity intact
I have imagination
Mt mind is not compact
It's good fun messing around
Shame clarity suffered for the sound
It's good to be here
Thought it right
To stay up a little late tonight
Catch you guys
Before you alight

Chris ol chap let me just say this
your voice it sounds with some bliss
but alas you do hide it like I once did
need to lose some effects I not chide
your mixed in so deep with the rest
what the lyrics say I can't attest
the style of tunes they are quite cool
just use your vox more as a tool
not that I'm a pro that'd be a long shot
but as I do now just show what you got

I've said this before Chris
And it still holds true
You have a goode voice,
(As well as hiss.)

My new recordings
When off the ground
Should have a
Much better sound
The old ones they
Make my heart ache
Always hissing like a snake
But these will soon be gone
Replaced by better ones
I enjoy doing effects
But it's true my voice
Is hidden
So I'll reset my vocal cap
And not go'n hide
Like Carol's Cat
Please don't kick it
Or Pull it's hair
Just give it some milk
And a comfy chair

Chris I hope you understood
I wasn't saying it wasn't goode
a trap I think with all our toys
we end up covering all our noise
the style I say it could rate a ten
and after this you may blame Ken...

Jessie's home alone again
Probably her parents' worst pain
She wasen't invited to join the fun
but a house to herself, its just begun

Do some good or do some bad?
But later do not feel so sad
Working on another prank
Bad enough the Titanic sank

Who shall i prank next?

No worries Kenny everythings grand
Effects are great fun
But I like singing so it should
Come to the fore
I'll push the effects back more
Your mix has added to the madness
My Wife thinks I've gone weird
I'm just a method singer
Like De niro is an Actor
So please don't write no murder songs
She'll be afraid that I'll attack her
Of course love songs are fine
She's quite fond of them
The worst thing that can happen
Is a cheap bottle of wine
Or a ring from the five and dime

Jessica

Prank who you like, just not me
keep it legal so you stay free
nice rhyme you posted quite impressed
I'm glad it was here you addressed
so now our university can teach pranks
and you can move us up the ranks
from pepper gum to whoopie cushion
having you here looks to be some fun
but alas I must say and with a sigh
if ever your near I'll keep a wary eye
I'll do my best to be quite frank
not to let you catch me in a prank

Jess has joined us once again
And now in rhyme, I think that's fine
Who to prank, that's a bit insane
So why not Chris, behind his mane?

He's gone quite looney
With his tune-y
But now there's hope
For this poor dope
A prank or two might cause him pain
But maybe make him sane again??

Chris, if thats the worst to happen your a lucky man
I end up walking on egg shells thinking of a new plan
The wife you know she says she rules the roost
I agree with her for the sake of her ego to boost
deep down inside I know it's me that's in charge
but if she found out I would brace for a barge
she'd steamroll me across this home of ours
make me say uncle and that she has the powers

Kenny that remix I thought was goode
I could hear much better, and a lot less swirl
My hair's found again its long lost curl
Well done Ken, I knew you coulde.

I've curled up comfy in a bed
I've even curled up my toes
But one thing I have never curled
is someone else's head
