Our University song
The poem before the song...
Staring at the flickering screen
my eyes begin to numb
I go and grab some more caffeine
what have I now done
an office chair at home so plush
tucked in a corner space
just sitting here when came a rush
brought a smile right to my face
its 1 AM this days been long
its time I go to bed
I'll close this out with a new song
that just popped in my head

I've done insane love again
It's really quite bizarre,
I took away the screaming
Left a heartbeat and guitar
And talking in between it
The vocals one of my old ones
So recording not top spec
But I've heard a lot worse by me
So I thought what the heck
I found it quite unnerving
It's meant to put on edge
So I hope it unnerves people
If it will I've not a clue
I hope you like it Kenny
I hope the other guys do to
If you want to hear it
Please tell me in a rhyme
And I will run it past you
If it's been rewarding
And hope you like it too
I'll post on Members recording
For other folks to see
That Starsailor has gone quite mad
And lost his sanity
You don't stop laughing when you grow old; you grow old when you stop laughing.

Kenny, oh Kenny
Do not fret or be sad
You'd have to try to kill me
Before I'd get mad!
And even then I must say,
I'd just run away
And I don't give a fig
Who has the last say.
Do not beat yourself up
Just cuddle the pup
If you sit all alone
And there's no-one to phone.
Of one thing I'm certain
You never could rile
Such a wiley campaigner
Who just likes to smile.
I'll admit I was tempted
To send you a
But a promise is a promise-
I had promises to keep
And miles of smiles
Before I sleep.

About that last word, referred to above
To stop the last word from being alone
You say you wanted to spoil it with love
Shouldn't you offer to give it a good e home?

So don't beat yourself up

all my personalities live at home
I'm glad I can't rile

so wiley please smile
from behind that curtain
Tempted you were
to send me a face
to keep your promise

What a day it has been
Our router is ancient
My flickering screen
Has tried all my patience
We've ditched the idea, of calling on Ted
We're going for cousin Balash instead
To keep in the family is a good idea
And perhaps his charges, a liitle less dear
He's coming on Monday to ditch our machine
Then my posts'll be so fast, they'll scarcely be seen
My lines seem to be getting longer and longer
Hmm, that certainly gives me something to ponder.
I'm thinking of getting a few extra gigs
Of RAM.... which reminds me again of Ken's figs
The strange fact of figs is, they taste quite boring
Till they bake in the sun, while the family is snoring
Then they turn into something both sweet and healthy
But we don't have enough, to make us all wealthy.
I'm back onto food again
Did anyone notice?
You'd think that they feed me
On petals of lotus
Or other such things of a similar kind
I think I am losing, what's left of my mind........

Ken you tell of your personalities
Who are you today, do you mind if I ask?
I see here a theme, that could keep us quite busy
It might give us an anchor if the pace gets too dizzy
Me, I quite like to proceed at a gallop
And sometimes just pause, to catch me a scallop
I've heard your insane one, who licks at the glass
Did he ever get out? That guy was pure class.

The forum it is very quiet
Hardly a Member stirs
They must be doing lessons
Or strolling round the site
The forum though is peaceful
No one with which to converse
I'll mess around with my guitar
Wait to see what occurs

And what do I see?
Young Chris and LC

Hubble bubble, toil and trouble
Jess has joined us, in this huddle
Asking us for a rhyme or two
About her potions, what they do.
I'm out of reach, I'm happy to say
Its best to steer clear, and out of the way
When Jess is looking, for somewhere to cast
Her spells and potions
And other such hocums
Did you ever hear of such dangerous notions?
You'd need to have handy, some anti-dote lotions.

Chris, a little bird I know,
Told me you'd visited Ken's loony bin
I've searched the forums high and low
Updated versions are rather thin
On the ground-
At least, that's what I found
ie nothing, not even a sound.
Don't get distracted by that guy Cooke
Please tell me where I have to look.

Haha, shall I bring out my famous extra strength intching stuff and apply it to some unlucky victim's guitar strings/piano keys?

Today I must say
I was suzy homemaker
cleaned up the house
made dinner as a baker
second shift has come on
as I switched out my hat
I'm now as Mr lazy
sitting here getting fat
Insane guy is still here
always trying to get out
but he's under restraint
you should hear him pout
Tomorrow's unknown
as to who I shall be
but since its a saturday
insane guy might be set free
He's the most fun
of the choices I have
he drinks like an animal
preparing for his weekly bath
Sunday I'm the chauffeur
for my sis and her mate
they are both blind
due to life's unknown fate
They have a house
up north of me here
I shuttle them around
and they buy the beer
The other's of me
I'll leave out for now
I'm sure just from these
folk's are blurting out "WOW"

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
Buy it now for only $10 |
