I don't find it cliche anymore - in fact you rarely hear it played because it
was so cliche for so long. Personally, I'd welcome hearing "Stairway" in guitar shops now instead of endless renditions of "Sweet Child O' Mine", "Welcome to the Jungle" and two-string power chord Metallica songs.
