Not a bad book that. If I see it somewhere, I'll pick it up. Looks like a keeper, like the Guitar Handbook by Ralph Denyer.

I know right off that the action is not too low. It's medium, not even the fastest guitar I have. Plenty of clearence from the fretboard and pickups.

The buzz was coming from the spring behind the saddle, which has a screw going through it to adjust the intonation. So while I was looking how to adjust the height of the saddle I loosened that screw a little (half a turn) and ta-da!! fixed.

I haven't checked the intonation again, but it may involve just turning that spring a little bit so the string clears it or it sits firmer and doesn't buzz if I need to retighten that screw to get the intonation right. Unusual for a brand new Fender

I'll let you know if there are any more probs. How touchy is the intonation? Will just one turn of the screw ruin it?
