This is a song I put on a few weeks ago, I've rewritten it a bit and also done a Demo, it's not perfect but I thought I'd post it, this isn't finished so any feedback is welcome
REALITY TV
They all want to be superstars
They crave publicity
A total lack of talent
Doesn’t seem to stop the dream
These people need a place to go
Where they can all be seen
The media it sees a chance
And puts them on our screens
Popstars, posers, wannabes
All there for us to see
Every body seeking fame
It’s Reality Tv
That girl you saw the other day
She’s now in Big Brother
She’s hanging with a bunch of freaks
We can sit and watch her play
A mother hears her teenage son
Singing in his room
His loved ones say you’ll be a star
It’s the Idol show for you
They didn’t have the heart to say
You cannot sing in tune
Popstars, posers, wannabes
Enjoy their misery
Every body seeking fame
It’s Reality Tv
Andy Warhol got it right
Fifteen minutes fame
But when we’re all in rehab
Who is going to take the blame?
The press want to sell papers
Programme makers want the cash
The people want the stardom
And we love a good car crash
Popstars, posers, wannabes
All there for us to see
Every body seeking fame
It’s Reality Tv
If you think you're fat
They'll make you thin
They'll make you dance
They'll make you sing
You'll eat bugs
And suffer pain
Just to be a Star again
They'll build you up
Then pull you down
Make you look like
A Circus Clown
They'll pull your strings
And cut your scenes
For the sake of high ratings
This is not reality
Just what they want us to see.
Popstars, posers, wannabes
All there for us to see
Every body seeking fame
It’s Reality Tv
Popstars, posers, wannabes
In joy and misery
Everybody seeking fame
Reality TV
