Its snowing come on lets go

By - X4 Kenny
1st draft
As always, say what you want....Please and Thankyou

Vs1
Falling snow covers the city
in a blanket oh so white
fresh and clean all very pretty
lights the darkness of the night

Vs2
Watch the flakes outside the window
gently floating in the air
festive lights set them aglowing
with such beauty and such flair

Chorus
I love playing outside with you by my side
in a winterland of snow
its a wonderful time lets grab us some wine
Its snowing come on lets go

Vs3
Old fashion sleds and toboggans
racing down the steep hillside
clumsy mittens warming our hands
as we wait our turn to slide

Vs4
Laughing children on the playground
lovebirds gliding across ice
like a Rockwell art of small town
how he captures it so nice

Chorus

Vs5
Like a pretty christmas present
tied off with a ribbon bow
its a sight thats oh so pleasant
one I surely hope you know

Vs6
As it drapes across the pine trees
and builds up upon the grass
I fall down onto my bending knees
and thank the sky its here at last

Chorus

X4, very nice!!! I like the original the best.
I like "big red bow"!! Also liked the Rockwell portion.

Suggestion on chorus:

I love slipping and sliding
In a winterland of snow
Lets grab our coats and mittens
It's snowing, come on lets go.

Merry Christmas to you!!!!!

Nice indeed. How about some music for it!? That would be great.

Thanks Doty, I liked the rockwell bit myself, but thought it may not reach some. And I may have to cut you in on royalties with your chorus, I like it ...fits well.... Thanks for your thoughts.

jbhiller, Thanks...at my current skill level it may be sometime, but I do give my blessings to anyone here that wants to have a go at any of my scribblings so feel free to throw something down to it if you like. Thanks for taking the time to look it over!

Thanks Berlu, easier for me to scribble it down than to get music together....slowly but surely I'll get there.
