Hi Kristina. Welcome to the forum. Unless your focusing on bar chords only, there are easier ways of playing a Bm. Some of Kirks lessons show him playing bits of chords rather than full bar chords. You can play the full chord in other shapes up and down the neck such as around the 12th or 7th or 4th fret. You can take parts of each chord shape and put them together. Once you get more familiar with the fretboard you will find many ways to play the same chord. This comes in real handy when you try to do an F chord at the 1st fret. Most people find that is the hardest bar chord to do.
Make sure you mix up your practice. I sprained my thumb on one tricky bar chord from practicing it for too long. It took three weeks to recover. Have fun.
