I should say I am no expert these are just my thoughts. I love the intro it sets the mood, and I think everybody is right about the vocal,I have the same problem (mic shy) .
I would change the guitar part a little I think. It follows the vocal so too closley when your singing ..... if you let me now what chords your using I will send you an idea of what I mean.
Please bear in mind these are just thoughts feel free to ignore and do what you think is right .Its a very personal thing this song writing lark

Hi Timvass sorry I'm a bit slow getting back to you.
This is one of my favourites, there is quite a bit of black humour in the song it's really about the absurdity and sometimes sadness of reality television.
I agree about the guitar it is a bit literal the closeness of it to the lyrics to be honest is down to my inexperience.
I'm starting to conquer the vocal shyness and hopefully I can get rid of that millstone it does hold me back.
In regards to the chords, it's very much a skeleton of a song and I don't always stick to the rules when I write. this is a rough idea of them, mostly suspended, hope you can work it out.
Please feel free to run with this, I love the way you play so it's a compliment that you like it, as I say this is very much a skeleton so it has a lot of room for manouvre, I have ideas and post them but I'm working on taking a bit more time on songs although very much a guy with a guitar with loads of ideas who's still learning and I'm not Gods gift to theory.
The chords? hope it makes sense, it's quite easy to play along to but like I said feel free to run with it, this song is better with a bit of attitude as some of the lyrics are sarcastic.
