I had a custom leaded glass
slide made as close as possible to the specs of Kirks brass slide. I still like the brass best. Light strings for slide are a lot tougher to play but, then I wouldn't have 9s on any guitar of mine anyway. They sound like anemic mosquitoes unless you bury them in pedals and effects.
