Looking to get some opinions on good gear.
I had a Ibanez RG550 and a Marshall 2550 Silver anniversary, combo which I really liked before. I would like to get something comparable, but it's been over 10 years since I last looked at an electric guitar. I'm sure things have changed since then.
Here are a few things I want...
22 fret minimum, 24 preferred
Good tremolo. I had a floyd rose before and loved it.
Good quality/value.
Affordable
The sound I'm looking for is Metallica. I will be getting back into my old band from 10 years ago and we will be a Metallica cover band like the old days. I also don't want to break the bank. For an amp, I'm thinking about a 50 watt Marshall or Fender, unless there is something with more bang for your buck out there.
Open to all suggestions.
