Yes. I guess you could say it's original. I just sorta started picking and that's where it went. It wasn't planned.

On another note, when I recorded the Nashville tuned Ibanezr, it was way tinny. So for you recording dudes out there, I used two mics. One condenser positioned angled from the headstock pointing to about the 12th fret. I wanted/needed more depth to the sound of the Ibanez. The second mic is a trick. I used a cardiod dynamic. I wanted a subtle lower end to come out. Placing the mic at the bridge was way too much. So to get what I wanted, I wrapped the mic over my shoulder and across the back of my neck and let the mic dangle directly behind the guitar where the bridge would be on the front. That really brought out the sweet tone for that Ibanez.

My point? Try every conceivable position with your mic's when you record. You'll be surprised what you can find! You don't have to be text book!
