You will want to warm up those fingers as well as strengthen them, particularly the 3rd and pinkie fingers. A good practice is to do trills. Start with the High E string and do the hammer-on pull off from open string, say at the 5 fret, use your index finger to trill. Hold down the index at the 5 fret and do a trill at the 6fret with your second finger, up a fret, 3rd finger, up, 4th finger. Then move to the next string and repeat to the 6th string.
