I am Sampat from Chennai. India, the proud winner of the T20 World Cup yesterday in Cricket. I am learning guitar on my own. Basically I am Finance guy but really interested in music. Guitar is a wonderful instrument.


I would like anyone of you to clarify what is idle tempo in the metronome to practice change of chords to get the smooth flow .
I am in touch with the instrument only for just 1 1/2 months but able to play little bit of barre chords also. But I find it difficult to change the chords with smooth flow as Kirk says

Kindly clarify.

When u can use the 7th , M7th, m7, m7th flatted 5, aug , dim and dim 7th when just the Primary chords covers entire 7 notes.

And another question. As I browse, everywhere Jimi Hendrix is considered the greatest guitarist even now. Though we have class of Eric Clapton, Jimmy Page, Santana, Steve vai, Steve ray vangahn, Joe Satriani, George Harrison etc, what makes Jimi Hendrix special to top the list.
