Just keep doin' what you're doin'. Playing with a metronome (or a drum beat) is the best way to learn. Also just some general practice advice to keep in mind is that you don't want to just practice practice practice, because practice makes PERMANENT (not perfect

). Keep the tempo slow enough so that you can play it perfectly without mistakes. Then as you get more comfortable (and not just playing it correctly one or two times, you have to be very comfortable with it), speed it up until you can play it cleanly at faster tempos. If you practice sloppy you will only ingrain the bad habits and make it harder to undo later. It's best to start out practicing it correctly from the start.
