I've been out of the loop when it comes to buying guitars for a while now, but jumbos may be more for strumming that finger style. Maybe something more compact and light weight would be better, but I have no suggestions for brands.
'You'll know it when you play it', is the way it's always been for me. Try and get to a few shops (and pawn shops if you can), play as many as you can.
