If I Had a Boat

I just learned this tune, so I thought I'd record a quick video. This is "If I Had a Boat" by Lyle Lovett. Please forgive the sour vocal notes. It's hard to go back and fix a live performance.

Great stuff. I wonder if it was hard for you, to sing and play that complicated picking pattern at the same time?

That is a nice sounding guitar. What kind is it?

I had to play it through many times to get it down. Then the picking runs on auto-pilot while I sing.

I think its a nice sounding guitar too. Its a Colling OM3.

Not familiar with the song but I liked your version of it. So does this mean you get to marry Julia Roberts now?

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
