Blue-grasser - Goin' Down The Road Feelin' Bad

Well, alrighty then

Here's an old time blue grass tune called Goin Down The Road Feeling' Bad. I haven't played this in years and I'm not really a lead picker so don't expect a lot!

For those who may not know, the banjo style I play is mountain style or claw-hammer banjo. I do not play Scruggs style banjo that you hear in most bluegrass tunes. Some folks call it frailin' banjo or drop-thumb banjo. It's literally picked by using the top side of the finger nails and brushing down rather than picking upwards from the under-side of the finger nails. The high "G" or fifth drone string is plucked with the thumb and thats what gives it a "plucky" sound.

Well, anyway, y'all enjoy this tune. Maybe some of you folks may decide to really take good look at bluegrass style music. It's a lot of fun, can be played anywhere and is usually a real hit after 4 or 7 beers!

Goin' Down That Road Feelin' Bad [1.8Mb @ 1:56]

Enjoy!

Cool tune, Les....definitely a good-timer despite the title!

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule

Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!

Buy it now for only $10
