Yeah, Another one

Saturday afternoon here, was feeling kinda good for an old geezer and layed this out.....anyone here that can help an old man feel "not so old"? Kick the cane out from under me with something you add to this.

ElderRock.mp3

I have this on seperate tracks if you need to push me down...er back I mean.

Damn near a half century old, but I won't let that stop me from trying.

Thanks Kriss...

Pretty simple one, heres the main Riff in ElderRock2...

all downstrokes, I was using "Guitar Rig" app for the tone, Setting called overdrive that I changed properties in some of its settings just screwin around.

A2
E0
Index finger on the B..Played twice and twice more mutted..repeat
move up to...
A7
E5
Powerchord{not sure if first is considered a powerchord?}
Play this two times and I lift my index finger and slide down with my ring finger heading back to A2 E0, one time there at the A2 E0 and I lay my middle finger on E3{G note & playing this string only} and slide up to E7 and back down and repeat.

Hope that helps

Trev

Thats Elle's vox Trev, FX can be fun

ElderRock5.mp3

If I had her vox seperate it wouldn't of changed the overall sound of the tune.

Yup - power chords or "5" chords. The first one is an E5 and the second one is an A5. You could also play the second one as A0, D2 - same notes.

Cool, thanks for that Stratrat..

These get their names from Root and their fifth correct? you know what I'm saying right? ...the "B" is the fifth of "E" in E5 right?

Yep...exactly. "5" chords are neither major nor minor, because it's the III note in a chord that determines major or minor, and there is no third in these. Sometimes I amaze myself that I'm actually starting to learn this stuff!
