Where to start again?

Hey everyone. I played guitar in my teens and early 20's but stopped playing after not have the time to play anymore. I bought a Fender Squire Strat from a neighbor last summer and I banged away on it for a couple of months and quickly got bored. Just this week I went to a yard sale and found a Gibson Epiphone SG with a 10 watt studio practice amp for 50 bucks. Well needless to say my interest in playing is back but I don't know where to start from again. I don't know scales, I know some chords and I can play only a very few songs and many parts of songs. I know this is going to sound stupid but where do I go from here? I'm not very good with delayed gratification. Any advice would be great.
