I've got a Yamaha FG312 II, they are well made and agree that they are of good quality for the price range, I love mine and would never part with it. It is worth trying out a few though just to see what suits you. X4strings pawn shop idea is good, there are five Cash Converter shops in the Liverpool,Mersyside area there might be one near you, they always have musical instruments in, I bought a Keyboard from the Truro Branch 6 years ago and it's still going strong so they're reliable, you can also put a deposit down and pay the balance when you collect the instrument. If you have a friend that plays guitar it would be worth taking them along just to make sure the instrument is in good order.
