He gets no sympathy from me. My wife complains because I don't play and sing like Jomi.

Thank you all for the support, and one day, maybe..

Yvie, who ARE you? are you that funny woman who keeps turning up at my house???

Elle, my mother used to do that 'get out and play' thing

MyCoolCane, thank you PM your address and I'll burn one and send it to you.

Fly, you should remind her that if we all sounded the same, music would get very boring very fast!

Caught up with you again John, 100% agree with all the other Members, great song, I remember you before you were famous, youtubes an alternative to a live performance, nothing to add on that subject the most important thing is that you're happy and enjoying what you do.

Best Wishes

Chris

Thanks Chris,
I really appreciate the support.
I thought about Youtube for a while but I don't have a video camera, I have my eyes on a new guitar, maybe an another Avalon (formerly Lowden) so filming is a bit low on my priority list.
I can't say I'm happy exactly, I really do want to pluck up the courage to perform live and all the encouragement I've had here has made that more so.

I must admit if I had the choice between a Video camera or a Guitar I would go for the guitar, good to see your Girlfriend on here giving support, welcome Yvie, if you don't mind playing guitar in front of Yvie, just add a couple more friends and see how you feel, might be worth asking the owner of your local club if you could just go up on stage and practice before the club opens, that depends on how well you get on but will give you a feeling of what it's like, only made some suggestions because you sound like you're getting a bit fed up with this brick wall you keep hitting.

Great job Jomi. I think, based on the reaction, here, that you should now fully appreciate how much your peers love your work and admire your talent. You are a born story teller, and with a world full of stories that need to be told, I think it's time to take those steps outside your comfort zone and perform in your neck of the woods. But, that's been said before, just thought I'd add to the chorus!

Every time I hear something I really like in the recording booth I immediately head to google to try to find a tab so I can learn it...which is exactly what I did, excellent job!

If you learn how to play songs, then you learn songs. If you learn how to improvise, then you learn music.
