I have since listened to several versions of Hallelujah, And I must say, with all honesty
that they all pale in comparison with Bob's. Even Leonard Cohen sounds dull and lifeless in contrast...!!!
I think it is more your take got lost in the shuffle. It is a good idea to start a new thread when you upload a take. I missed your take and now the link is dead. As long as you have the authers permission to tinker with his tune than thats cool. It is better to just get the backtrack and put your own melody over it. Adding to a finished tune is like adding to a finished painting. It can be done but, you have to be very very good to pull it off.
