OMG - A Vox!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
**
Hey folks,
Well, my pickle jar of coin is now empty. I'll have to start fillin' her up again for next years round of equipment.
I've had my eye on the Vox AC30 amp for a couple of years. The center of sound in my universe.
Well, I couldn't get one of those, so I copped a nice little Vox DA5 mini amp from my local shop, CarlsUSA. It comes with AC/DC power (go anywhere), has eleven pre-built amp models with a multitude of style options, build yer own models, headphone and mic 1/4 jacks and the beautiful chrome Vox nomanclature on a black chassis. Very stylish. Very cool for a mini amp.
Vox. The amp of the Beatles. Awesome!

By the way, he's got a Turquoise Fender Strat. He hooked up with Buddy Guy some years ago and Buddy signed his Strat. Awesome!

Sounds like you had some fun there Les. Was it 25 yrs since you've seen your brother or 25 yrs since you played guitar together?

Thanks. The white Tele has grown on me. I wanted a black one, but the salesman steered me towards the white one. Turns out they had a jam session the weekend before I bought, and the consensus among the players was that the white one was the best sounding and best playing Squier in the shop. I don't play it nearly as much as I should, I got the Seagull and have been enjoying that so much I hate playing anything else.
Back to the original topic, I'm still learning to use the Vox. I heard GREAT things about it, but I don't think I'm skilled enough to get 1/4 of the potential out of it. So much to learn!

Good to see some Teles! A Tele through a Vox is sure a nice sound.

Lc,
I love my Vox AD30VT, and I've heard great things about that little guy as well.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
