thanks pam,

Im new to this forum.. and fairly new to guitar playing.. but ive been writing poetry for a large part of my life and when i started to play the guitar .. my objective was to write my own song.. which i'm doing in another collab thread...

i cant take full credit for the lyrics.. the tune gave them to me..

No sense in me fiddling with this any more, with my vox its like the fat lady already left the stage...lol

MT.. cut the third section down a little avoiding a flaw, not sure if it was on my end, but sounded like a skip in the rhythm. also tried to kick up the bass {root notes} with my keys. Hope you don't mind.

"Turn around"

You and me just lying here
starring at the stars and the sky so clear
wondering about our life and whats meant to be
is there any future for you and me

the words we said in a moment of rage
like two bad actors up on a stage
you know they were lies and thats a fact
don't want to lose you please come back

you and me now we'll be alright
together we can make it thru the night
squeeze me close and hold me tight
love that feeling its just so right

love you dear and I need you more
everything about you I adore
never wanna lose you thats for sure
turn around darlin close the door

Can't get a chorus together

I know that we've been thru a lot
but take the time to see what we've got
no sense in throwing it all away
over a few words we didn't mean to say

didn't mean to cause so much pain and hurt
over stupid little words that we did blurt
I wish it was a moment that we could take back
a moment that pushed our love off track

words we said in a moment of hate
they came from our lips without thinking straight
to get past this moment would be so great
what do you say darlin lets erase the slate

love you dear and I need you more
everything about you I adore
never wanna lose you thats for sure
turn around darlin close the door

"chorus"

Twenty years later and we're sittin on the porch
love still burning like eternities torch
swinging in the evening holding hands
your still my woman I'm still your man

looking back at all of those years
filled with laughter joy and tears
glad it was you and thats a fact
{spoken} thank you darlin for turning back

song1_X4_vox.mp3

anyways I like the tune, i'm happy with my lyrics...just need to learn to sing....it was fun thanks for this Modalthinking
