Well, it's over. I think my mind was in the right space, but my body wasn't. I had so much adrenaline that my hands were shaking uncontrollably. I had to stop and I had the audience do deep breathing exercises with me which got a laugh. I told them that it's a good thing I'm not a brain surgeon. The audience was very sympathetic - prolly thinking "poor sod - I'm glad it's not me". I managed to get through the songs in spite of the shaking. Oh well. I guess the more you do it the easier it gets.

Yes, the shaking can be awful, but it does get easier, or rather, less obvious!

Good on ya, Doug!

Well done, Doug. It's always good if you can get a bit of audience participation happening - although I'd never have thought of getting them to join in deep breathing in unison. Great entertainment.

Before you know it, you'll feel like you have always been on stage.

Roll on the next gig.

Sounds like you did a great job of handling your stress and got the audience pulling for you! It should be easier next time! It's always good if you can laugh at yourself!
