In my limited experience (I've owned 11 guitars, last count) I can strongly recommend for fingerpicking the Taylor grand concert line In 2004 they increased the depth by 1/4 in which made a huge difference in the sound ...they range in price from about $1500 for a 312ce to $4000 for a 912ce (new) and there's always ebay.....they have a shorter neck for easier fingering and and a big voice for a small bodied guitar....
