Week-End Collab.......Anyone?
Hey All
Trev aka "Hilch" posted some cool lyrics that I had a play with at the weekend called weekend(....LOL) and he has kindly allowed me to ask for a collab on this as I love it so much.
Trouble is that I do not do it justice so is anyone up for turning this into something cool.
I suspose what it needs is the following:
Lyrics - Mine are only in for a guideline
Bass - Nice simple or fancy bass line
Intro - Possibly a a nice arpegio style with the bass line before drums
Solo - Who wants to blast some cool rock licks out?
2nd Guitar part - the riff needs some highlighting maybe?
I have attached two files one is just guitar and drums and the other has my poor voice on it with my interpretation. There are no rules, you can be good, great or a noobie like me just as long as you have fun with it.
Come on lads, give it a go.

Sounds good, Kriss - you added some cool inflection to it and your timing was actually tons better on that one too.
Trev - yours was a fun take too - I knew you had it in ya!
Elle - can you fit your vox in with Kriss' now?
If we can get Kriss' "naked" vocal track and Elle's backing, maybe Kenny will be kind enough to take another shot at mixing it.

Well, houston we have a problem....timing you two together doesn't mesh....maybe one of you could record over the others track and see what shakes. With-out seperate tracks I can't do anything about that.
this will explain better. dual_vox.mp3
I know it takes guts to post bare vocals{I couldn't} but if it helps any let me offer one little bit....when remixing or even just layering tracks, when recorded with music and vox on same track, its almost impossible to bring up the voice without altering the overall sound, and as attachment shows, can't realign both takes without also offsetting the instruments. One side note..don't take this wrong Elle, but you kinda overlapped on Slickcats slide, sounds great both of you, but as it stands right now we need to make some adjustments so we can all hit the big time{lol}
any thoughts or possiblities I may have missed?

You Got It: WEEKEND NAKED VOCALS....
Here is the separate vocal track, and I timed it so that at my '4', that's exactly when the first note of the guitar intro starts.
Nothing like baring your vocals for everyone...can ya see my tonsils? LOL

No way, Krissovo, you're in for a penny, and in for 130 pounds....LOL
I just posted the background vocals and they're now going to merge them both together, with FINGERS CROSSED!

Whatever you all decide is fine with me, I can use both full or edit one to backup/duet sort-of. Just need seperate tracks, if you guys would rather not use/post/e-mail them then I guess its up to GT or someone to add to whats all ready posted.Whatever you decide....thanks its been a pleasure/learning experience that I thank you all for.

The backing sounds good, Elle - I can't wait to hear it mixed in with Kriss' vox!

I can send the seperate track when I get home...I hope if my broadband decides to work.
What is the mixing being done with? I can send the Kristal file if that is easier?
