Week-End Collab.......Anyone?

Hey All

Trev aka "Hilch" posted some cool lyrics that I had a play with at the weekend called weekend(....LOL) and he has kindly allowed me to ask for a collab on this as I love it so much.

Trouble is that I do not do it justice so is anyone up for turning this into something cool.

I suspose what it needs is the following:

Lyrics - Mine are only in for a guideline
Bass - Nice simple or fancy bass line
Intro - Possibly a a nice arpegio style with the bass line before drums
Solo - Who wants to blast some cool rock licks out?
2nd Guitar part - the riff needs some highlighting maybe?

I have attached two files one is just guitar and drums and the other has my poor voice on it with my interpretation. There are no rules, you can be good, great or a noobie like me just as long as you have fun with it.

Come on lads, give it a go.

No doubt...he already posted it seperately..left him an open if he wants a re-do too.

Sweeet. Like you, I'm really geeked about this. I loved the earlier version, but this one is shaping up to be even better!

  Vocals

Ok reluctantly here is a separated voice file, the 4th verse will need lining up slightly due to some latency I had or it could be from the first chorus.

I think if i remember the sound file is quite quiet so if I get a chance I will re do it tomorrow.

Kriss - I played with it a bit and couldn't get the vox to line up with the main track. It was off starting at the first chorus.

Ok, so do I now add backgrounds to Kriss' vocals? Or what? I don't want to pollute it...would that be of help?

Work away girl, you can do them all if you want

As I said the vocals do not line up quite right so it might need someone to mix the vox with the backing track and then we can go to town

It would probably be better to wait until we get them lined up with the song, then do your BV over Kriss' vox....otherwise your BV will be offset too.

Where's our mixing wizard???

Kenny - might just be my ears, but if you'd roll the keyboard back just a tad in the mix that would be just about perfect. If we can get Kriss to re-do the vox, GT (or whoever else volunteers) to add the second solo and then Elle's background vocals, we'll have a winner!
