New GFB&B audio/video test chat room... try it out and leave your feedback.
I've set up a test chat room here for GFB&B - http://www.guitarforbeginners.com/forum/testchat.html - you can use audio and video or one or the other. It's not integrated into our database as yet as I wanted to get some feedback before I went ahead and did that.
On the test page you will see two logins, the top one is for a one on one messenger type chat... and the other is a chat room set up. Both have audio video abilities... Just login with your username (you will still show as a guest) as it's not integrated as yet.
Hopefully this will work for us. Let me know how it goes. All feedback welcome.
Cheers
Clancy

Yep, did that a while back when I installed my new internet security package and double checked again last Thursday but all is okay there. No I don't use Firefox!

I thought about that too and went into my Internet Security Suite and cleared out the cache. Then went to double check that all the cookies were clear for this particular site.
I can't think what it might be and I think I've stumped Clancy as well. But thankyou all for your advice and help anyway.

Neil, did you try clearing your flash cookies? If not then visit this site. You will see a box with a list of sites you have visited that require flash, delete the relevant ones. Make sure you go through the whole list as a site can appear more than once. If you see one for userplane then delete that too.
Hopefully it will work for you.

Not on that chat Clancy don't. It isn't a GFB&B hosted chat, it is hosted by Userplane.
I may be wrong, but I'm fairly certain Clancy wouldn't have chat logs.

Thanks si16. I visited the site and tried it, then went back to access the chat facility but still no go. I'll just have to accept for now that I can't access the chat facility, at least until a solution to the problem presents itself.

This is absolutely brilliant Clancy. Had a brief talk with RockerBob today, and talked to EddieZ the other night....just love it!
Neil....Why not download Firefox, and see if you can access it then? (Don't disable cookies completely)!
You can then switch from IE, to FF as you need.
Just a thought

Glad you're enjoying it scrappy and skinny... it is pretty cool... I'd like to get it integrated into the forum so that there's not two logins and also so that we could see who is in there without having to login to see (like our old chat does)... but I've hit a few snags with that.

RB & I were on it early this morning for awhile , but I had to leave and suck more water out of my basement carpet as we are having flooding problems here . Have had 8" of rain in 2 days with more coming , I have a 14 gallon shop vac and have dumped it 10 times so far since this morning
People that have never had water problems are having it now .

I finally got to see someone on there, it was a guy from Brazil his name was Thunder, I was able to watch and hear him practice on 2 of his electric guitars, that seems amazing to me.
.
Spray Tech, I called and talked to and OLD friend 2 days ago to see how he was fairing the storm back there in Arlington TX, he luckily was doing fine but the ones that live down the block from him toward a creek were getting flooded out, what a bummer, here in So.CA we're suffering from drought conditions, everything is a bit weird this year.
Hope you get through it ok.

Hooray!!!!! Finally, success!
Clancy you'll be happy to know that I managed to get it to work. I uninstalled my Internet Security Suite and downloaded another.
Then thought I'd give it another go and voila.............it worked!

Nobody to chat to on there at the moment. But at least now I know that I can if there is.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
