New GFB&B audio/video test chat room... try it out and leave your feedback.
I've set up a test chat room here for GFB&B - http://www.guitarforbeginners.com/forum/testchat.html - you can use audio and video or one or the other. It's not integrated into our database as yet as I wanted to get some feedback before I went ahead and did that.
On the test page you will see two logins, the top one is for a one on one messenger type chat... and the other is a chat room set up. Both have audio video abilities... Just login with your username (you will still show as a guest) as it's not integrated as yet.
Hopefully this will work for us. Let me know how it goes. All feedback welcome.
Cheers
Clancy

Nahh, no cam, and getting drug off to do siding... have to bleed for me later Lovely Mrs. Clancy.
Planning on the cam part though... never had anyone want to look at me before, so it has never been an issue.
Ohh, and I'm being silly, of course its like userplane because it IS userplane... I did catch that earlier.

Someone could have had the lucky privilege of watching me eat spaghetti and type on the computer. What a thrill!

You can talk to yourself... you can ask yourself questions... you can even answer yourself... thats all perfectly "Normal" (whatever that is).
You need help when you have no Idea what your talking about and ignore yourself.
Looks like I missed Canuck Todd and Matt just now... so back to keeping the chat room warm hehe.

SprayTech,
You can always show up. As far as the playing, were all gonna learn something here. Its a great way to figure out the sore spots.

Steve and I just left the room and with a one on one the audio was good with no echo. I found that when more are in the chat, an echo does happen. Also voice feed back. It is clean on a 1-1 though

I don't think any of these kind of things are perfect... they are very server intensive and your broadband connection (and the connection of others using the chat) is also always going to be a factor. I talk on skype and msn with a few friends, sometimes the sound is perfect other times it sounds like we are talking underwater.

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
