Homeward
This song could be about anyones long journey to reach their goal, or just a romantic story about someone coming home. The person taking the journey can be male or female, whatever you're comfortable with. It's not exactly cheery, but it's not sad either!
I hope you like it.

Thank you cshude, I've been messing round with different reverb settings but always seem to come back to the same one which greatly improves how I really sound!
Aunt Doty,
I can't post all the songs because some of them are copyright protected and the moderators would have to delete them.
I'll send you a pm about what to do.

Nicely done Jomi. I really dig your clean picking. Do you think you could try your next recording with less reverb? Not that it sounds bad, I'm just curious as to how it would sound without it.

Jomi in the raw!!!
Thanks BJ, I set to recording right away when I read your post.
Here's a section of Homeward, no reverb or anything else just me and the guitar in the raw! Be gentle!

Niiice. You're lucky to have a voice that's nice and warm so when you don't beef it up with effects, it still works quite well.

I agree. Must be nice to have a good enough voice that you don't need fx to make it sound good!
Jomi, I can't begin to tell you how much I like this song. It grows on me more every time I listen to it. I get a real Jethro Tull vibe out of it - along the lines of "Budapest" or "Said She Was A Dancer". Definitely good stuff!

Thank you everyone, I don't think I'll be doing that again any time soon!
Stratrat, if you want to try it, it's really easy to play. It's in DADGAD tuning and there are only 3 chords used, it's really simple.
X 0 10 9 0 0, X 5 4 0 0 0 and 5 0 0 0 0 0 <<<< yes only one string to fret for that last chord!
Sorry I can't do tabs, hopefully you can work it out from that.

Still beautiful without the reverb. I like the ethereal, haunting quality that the reverb gives it though!

Thanks for the chords and tuning info on it, John - I might have to tune one of my gits to DADGAD and give it a try! I have no hope of being able to put the soul into it that you did, but it would be nice to play it anyways. Such a hauntingly beautiful song.

I saw another one of Jomi's songs resurrected and noticed that several people had missed it the first time around, so I thought I'd bring this one back as well in case some didn't get the opportunity to hear it. Kudos once again to you for a hauntingly beautiful tune, Jomi!
Jomi has posted some great songs here, but this is my favorite of them all and I listen to it often. Enjoy if you haven't heard it yet!
