Homeward
This song could be about anyones long journey to reach their goal, or just a romantic story about someone coming home. The person taking the journey can be male or female, whatever you're comfortable with. It's not exactly cheery, but it's not sad either!
I hope you like it.
John

You really sound great....and I'm not a songwriting critic, but know what I like...and I think you have great talent. Since you don't want to sing in front of a group.... make some CD's! Share that beautiful music!

Thanks Aunt doty, you may not be a critic but your views are welcome.
It's not that I don't want to sing to a group, I'd really love to!
I was at a little club just last night where people sing, some with musical instruments, some without. There's a whole range of types and abilities and I know that I'd fit right in, they've asked me a few times to sing a song or two, but I always refuse, I'm just a nervous wreck! Maybe I'll try hypnotherapy.......again!

Hi Jomi,
who can argue? it has a classic, more like epic quallity. I like it alot. Somehow, it reminds me of a young Gordon Lightfoot. and the recording is pristine with clean finger picking and just the ominescence of reverb.
six strings bangin' on a board, (makes it sound simple)

I agree with Aunt Doty that a CD would be wonderful. As far as I can see that little club is missing out, but with all the places around the globe represented with your family here, you really get around Jomi - Can't wait for the next one!!

Pamelody, I've made a few CDs for family and friends, I'd be happy to send one to you and Aunt Doty.
I was going to re-record most of the songs I've done, I have a new mic now AND I know how to use the noise removal tool in my software.

Another great one Jomi
I'm listening to it (for the third time) as I type. You have the wonderful ability to touch the heart, and create images in the mind with your songs.
I truly hope you can get over the nerves and perform live, imagine real people clapping, instead of smilies
Skinnymanager.
I got blisters on my fingers........!

A few more of these and I've got a free Jomi CD. I'm beginning to think you should stop posting so you don't mess up a future record deal.

Thanks Fly135, I hope I can keep writing so that you can fill that CD, I'm really proud that I can finally share my music - even though it's not live - you're very welcome to that for free!

Thank you Starsailor I've been thinking about the uk 'get together', but I'm not big on drinking and I don't think I can get an industrial strength tambourine.
That's cool Jomi the most important thing is that you love playing your music and we love listening to your songs.
Regards
Chris

+1. Three of Jomi's songs are already on my iPod - just awaiting the rest of the album!

Another great one. I love the atmosphere created by the reverb. Enough to create space, but the vocals still come through clear. Well done.

Jomi, The CD offer is so nice! Tell me what I need to do! Sounds like everybody is interested, so maybe you just need to post them all and we could download and make our own CD. Thanks!!

The GfB&B Guitar Slide Rule
Download the PDF of the 'Guitar Chord Slide Rule', print it out, fold it together and you'll have at your disposal a very neat tool that will not only show you all the positions for the main flavors of chords, but will also teach you a very important lesson about how the guitar works... It consists of a folded sleeve and six double sided inserts, instructions for cutting it out and folding it together are included with the PDF ... it's very simple to do, and if you botch it, you can simply print it out again!
Buy it now for only $10 |
